How we build

Every product gets the platform that actually fits it — a learning management system for a course platform, a proper commerce engine for a retail brand — glued together with modern cloud infrastructure. No forcing one framework to do everything badly.

A future-ready curriculum for primary and secondary students — STEM and core school subjects, built for how kids actually learn — landing alongside snacademy.education, already live and helping aspiring teachers pass their accreditation exams across Australia, New Zealand, the US, UK and Canada.
Apparel & Commerce
A direct-to-consumer apparel label — print, product and storefront designed and run in-house, from concept through to checkout.
How we think about building
Dogfood first
Every tool gets used internally at Lab Forty4 before it touches a customer. If it doesn't solve a real problem for the studio, it doesn't ship.
Complete, not quick
We don't ship MVPs. Products launch when they're ready — tested, polished, and worth paying for.
Proven before it's a product
We run the studio on our own tools every day. So by the time one is ready for solopreneurs and lean teams, it's already been battle-tested in real, everyday work — not a demo.
